Sy- og fikseverksted

Sy- og fikseverksted — a sewing and mending workshop

Date Tuesday 24. November
Time 15:30 - 18:30

Sy- og fikseverkstedet is for anyone who wants to hem a pair of trousers or repair a damaged garment.

Bring your garment and the materials you need. You can borrow a sewing machine and get guidance on how to use it. It’s a friendly, social and educational get-together! We’ll put the coffee on and look forward to meeting you.

Everyone is welcome, and guidance is free. This isn’t a course, but a place to bring your own project and get help with whatever you need. We’ll help as best we can, and if the job is too difficult, we’ll point you towards one of the sewing shops in the area.

We meet in the library’s “arrangementsrommet” (event room), just inside the entrance to the right. After 16:00, the library is open for self-service, and you’ll need the Oslonøkkelen app to open the library door. This means the age limit is 15, unless you’re accompanied by an adult with Oslonøkkelen.

Need help downloading the app beforehand? Contact the library during staffed opening hours and we’ll help you.

Drop in for a chat! If you’re skilled at sewing and interested in volunteering, come by. We need more people on the team and would love to create a welcoming community around sewing and repairs.
