Sy- og fikseverksted

Sy- og fikseverksted (sewing and repair workshop)

Date Tuesday 17. November
Time 15:30 - 18:30

The sewing and repair workshop is for anyone who wants to hem a pair of trousers or mend a damaged garment.

Bring your garment and any materials you need. You can borrow a sewing machine and get guidance on how to use it. It’s a friendly, social and educational space! We’ll have coffee ready and look forward to meeting you.

Everyone is welcome, and guidance is free. This is not a course, but a place to bring your own project and get help with whatever you need. We’ll do our best to help; if the task is too challenging, we’ll refer you to one of the local sewing workshops.

We meet in the library’s “arrangementsrommet” (event room), just inside the entrance on the right. After 16:00, the library is open on a self-service basis, and you’ll need the Oslonøkkelen app to open the library door. This means there is an age limit of 15 unless you are accompanied by an adult with Oslonøkkel.

Need help downloading the app beforehand? Contact the library during staffed hours and we’ll help you.

Drop in for a chat! If you know how to sew and are interested in volunteering, come by. We need more people on the team and would love to create a welcoming community around sewing and repair.
