UNG I TEGNING: Tegnerforbundet på Serieteket
A drawing workshop for ages 10–14
Join an exciting and educational drawing workshop for ages 10–14! Together with visual artist Janicke Schønning, we’ll create a personal herbarium filled with real and imaginary plants and strange stories from the natural world.
Janicke Schønning | Drawing workshop: create your own herbarium with wild plants
A free drawing course for ages 10–14!
A herbarium is usually a collection of pressed plants used for research and learning about species. In this workshop, we’ll make our own artistic version, where real plants and imaginary ones can exist side by side. We’ll explore flowers and plants through observation, imagination and drawing, and experiment with how lines, details and notes can bring the plants we create to life. Janicke Schønning will show examples of her own work before participants develop their own drawings and collections inspired by nature, memories and imagination. We’ll work with liquid ink, brushes and dip pens. An atmospheric, exploratory drawing course for anyone who enjoys nature, drawing and small worlds full of details and stories!
The course starts at 15:30, but feel free to drop in and have toast with us from 15:00!
The courses are a collaboration between Tegnerforbundet’s workshop series UNG I TEGNING and Serieteket, Deichman. In the drawing workshops, participants can explore different techniques with professional artists.
UNG I TEGNING is supported by Sparebankstiftelsen DNB and is part of Tegneløftet.
