Join an exciting and educational drawing workshop for ages 10–14! Together with illustrator Martin M. Hvattum, we’ll explore how to bring characters to life and give them personality, expression and emotions.

Free drawing course for ages 10–14!
How can a character look shy, intense, angry or mysterious? In this course, we’ll explore character design through collage, oil pastels and drawing. We’ll start with shapes, colours and moods, before participants develop their own imaginative characters and little worlds. Martin will show examples from his illustrations, then we’ll look at how facial expressions, body language and visual details can make characters feel alive and engaging.
We’ll work playfully and experimentally with both imagination and storytelling. The course is for anyone who enjoys drawing characters, whether they come from real life or the imagination. A creative drawing course for anyone who likes exploring character design, colour and storytelling!
The course starts at 15.30, but feel free to drop by and have toast with us from 15.00!

The courses are a collaboration between Tegnerforbundet’s workshop series UNG I TEGNING and Serieteket, Deichman. In the drawing workshops, participants can explore different techniques with professional practitioners.
