On sale June 4 at 10:00 via Ticketmaster.no ——————————————— ——————————————— C.O.F.F.I.N. aka Children of Finland Fighting In Norway have made their mark on the international underground as authentic, high-octane Australian rock! Like many of their predecessors from “down under”, this band isn’t here to lie down with the spiders. They’re here to smash, wreak havoc, tear things down and build them up, then tear them down again… and again! Now they’re coming to the local pizza joint in Brugata with a new album and a brand-new documentary in tow. The fresh documentary follows the life of a hard-working, hyper-intense rock band and has been given the (from our perspective) particularly apt title “10 000 Miles From Oslo”. Special occasions call for special celebrations, so we’ve made the band take up a small two-day residency at Vaterland in November. You can choose from three different tickets to suit your needs: 1. a single ticket for Thursday, November 26; 2. a single ticket for November 27; or 3. a two-day ticket for both days, including a documentary screening and Q & A at no extra cost. Please note: the documentary screening is ONLY available to those who buy a ticket for both days. Right, two days, two concerts, one film screening and a Q & A! Since forming in 2005, the band have carried Australia’s proud rock tradition into the 2000s with their own mix of boogie, blues, proto-punk and early hardcore. Their roots run through the band from Coloured balls to The Angels and AC/DC, as they explore themes of identity, community, environmental activism and Australia’s connection to the rest of the world. C.O.F.F.I.N. have shared stages with and earned their place alongside artists such as Amyl and The sniffers, Viagra Boys and King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard. They have played festivals around the world and won awards for best rock album in Australia’s equivalent of the Grammys. Yet perhaps most importantly, they have been relentlessly touring for over 20 years, shaping what is now one of Australia’s most respected contemporary rock ’n roll bands. This is going to be sweatier than Bondi Beach, folks!
