Suser avgårde
Norwegian-language film screening
In «Suser avgårde», we follow four friends in their late twenties as they face various existential crises over the course of a year, navigating the transition to adulthood. Agnes is in the midst of the deepest crisis of all. She is hooked on her on-again, off-again ex, Daniel, even though he runs away whenever things start to get serious. Now Daniel is back from Berlin—but has he finally changed? «Suser avgårde» is a funny and uncompromisingly honest portrait of a generation. The story is inspired by the lyrical world of deLillos, and a number of young artists have recorded cover versions of classic deLillos songs especially for the film’s soundtrack. Written by Rakel Kraft Biørnstad and directed by Rikke Gregersen («Rekviem for Selina»), the film portrays the group of friends through performances by some of Norway’s most promising young actors: Sarah Francesca Brænne, Steinar Klouman Hallert, Ada Eide and Fredrik Stenberg Ditlev-Simonsen. Produced by Ingvil Sæther Berger/Motlys.
Runtime: 1 hour 45 minutes. Age rating: 9 years. 2D, Norwegian dialogue, Norwegian subtitles. Screen 5.
