Solan og Ludvig – Jul i Flåklypa

Flåklypa faces powerful forces of nature when Reodor Felgen invents a snow cannon.

Christmas is approaching, and what Ludvig wants most of all is snow. So inventor Reodor Felgen sets out to build the world’s most powerful snow cannon. But the invention soon falls into the hands of Frimand Pløsen, editor of Flåklypa Tidende, who has other plans. Solan and Ludvig have to set things right. Meanwhile, Reodor has disappeared, and an increasingly fierce snowstorm is raging outside. Tampering with nature is dangerous, after all.

The film is a classic stop-motion puppet film, with all the sets, props and figures made by hand. Only the snow is computer-animated. The film is based on Kjell Aukrust’s universe and the book Solan og Ludvigs jul by Harald Sommerin Simonnæs.
