Snekker Andersen loves Christmas. Every year, he does everything he can to make sure his wife and three children have a proper Christmas. The most important part of Christmas Eve is a visit from Santa Claus himself! But this Christmas turns out to be very special: when Snekker Andersen meets Santa Claus in person, the two decide to swap roles and visit each other’s families. Santa’s family has never before had a real carpenter visit, and the Andersen family has never met the real Santa Claus …
The film is based on Alf Prøysen’s charming and atmospheric Christmas story, which has delighted children and adults since it was first published in 1957. The story has been published as picture books and in comic-book form, read aloud countless times on the radio, and performed more than 1,300 times at Oslo Nye Teater.
