Øystein Sunde

with Meget i Sløyd Staffan William-Olssons Sharp 9 Erfarne Kvinnfolk Tor Welo

On Wednesday 20 January 2027, we welcome you to a historic evening at Sentrum Scene! Øystein Sunde brings his huge catalogue of songs and an all-star lineup of musicians to celebrate his 80th birthday. Join the festivities for a living legend!

Øystein Sunde’s solo career began at the Dolphins folk club in Oslo in 1966. “It was a club full of enthusiastic beginners in their late teens. You got to sit on a bar stool and sing three songs, and then the next person was up,” Sunde says of that time. After four years on the stool, his first album came out, and his career really took off.

Today, Sunde can look back on a career spanning more than 50 years, filled with album releases, successful shows, TV productions and collaborations with the best in Norwegian show business.

Sunde is, of course, joined by Meget i Sløyd, but this time there’s also the full package: a six-piece brass section, backing vocals from Erfarne Kvinnfolk and Tor Welo on piano.

From Super-SS-Rally-GT to Kjekt å ha, from bluegrass to country, from brass section to a man alone with his guitar, from blues to Mo i Rana, from horse to dog, from sokka mine to Tass, from when he had a boat to when he ran into himself at the door, from sånn er'e bare to sånn var'e bare, from komme her to komme der, from tidenes litt utpå dagen all the way to det året det var så bratt, or the other way around, from stussen på tutten to pertentlig i Bentley, from one thing to another and then some,

With regards, Øystein Sunde :-)
