Linotrykk

Linotrykk (linocut printing workshop)

Date Friday 27. November
Time 17:00 - 21:00

Welcome to a linocut printing workshop!

Linocut printing is a versatile and accessible printmaking technique. You create an image by carving a design into a linoleum block and printing it onto paper.

In this course, we’ll cover the basic principles of linocut printing and the printing process itself. We’ll look at how to transfer a design to the block, how to use the different carving tools safely and effectively, and how to create a variety of lines, textures and contrasts.

You’ll have the chance to work on a small linocut of your own and make prints during the workshop. No previous experience is required—the course is suitable both for beginners and for those with some experience in printmaking who would like to develop their technique further.

The workshop combines a group introduction with hands-on work. You’ll receive guidance throughout and have the opportunity to experiment, learn and develop your own ideas.

Practical information

Open to everyone aged 16 and over.

The course is mainly conducted in Norwegian and English, and is led by Harris Asteriko.
