Linotrykk
Linotrykk (linocut printing workshop)
Welcome to a linocut printing workshop!
Linocut is a versatile and accessible printmaking technique. You create an image by carving a design into a linoleum block and printing it onto paper.
In this course, we’ll cover the basic principles of linocut printing and the printing process itself. We’ll look at how to transfer a design to the block, how to use the different carving tools safely and effectively, and how to create a variety of lines, textures and contrasts.
You’ll have the opportunity to work on a small linocut of your own and make prints during the workshop. No previous experience is needed—the course is suitable for beginners as well as those with some printmaking experience who want to develop their skills further.
The workshop combines a group introduction with hands-on work. You’ll receive guidance throughout and have the opportunity to experiment, learn and develop your own ideas.
