Julenissens verksted

When nine-year-old Mari wakes up one night and discovers a gnome in her bedroom, it marks the beginning of an extraordinary Christmas adventure. With a forgotten gnome mitten as their only clue, she, her grandmother and a very sceptical dad set off on an adventurous journey to find Santa Claus, while the mitten’s owner, Santa’s little helper Stompen, does everything he can to stop them. Julenissens verksted must not be discovered—it would be a catastrophe! Their journey takes them through forests, open heathland and beautiful winter landscapes. But there are plenty of challenges too: they must get past the forest’s guardian, Kjerringa med staven, and battle their way through a terrible snowstorm. The journey is not only exciting—it also opens the family’s eyes to one another, and they finally realise what the real magic of Christmas is. Get ready for this year’s Christmas film for the whole family, packed with festive spirit and familiar songs by Thorbjørn Egner, including Kaptein Sorte Bill, Dyrene i Afrika and Det snør det snør, performed by some of the country’s leading artists, including Sissel Kyrkjebø.
