Babymandag spesial: Building beginnings – baby theatre for ages 0–3
Welcome to baby theatre!
Building Beginnings is a dance performance for children aged 0–3, created and performed by dance artists Catharina Vehre Gresslien and Katja Henriksen Schia.
In Building Beginnings, the room fills with sculptural textile figures that create a playful, safe and tactile landscape. The sculptures are made of loose parts inspired by pipes, hoses and lumps—modules that can be connected and built upon in new ways. The performers bring these textile figures to “life” in different ways.
This is a journey through an imaginary landscape where a singing tree gradually transforms into a body with arms that are far too long, or a tiny creature grows bigger and bigger as it makes its way through the room. Towards the end of the performance, children are invited to explore the space together with the dancers.
This event is intended for people at home on parental leave with a baby. There are two performances, at 10:00 and 11:00.
