Babymandag spesial: Building beginnings
A dance performance for babies and toddlers
Welcome to baby theatre!
Building Beginnings is a dance performance for children aged 0–3, created and performed by dance artists Catharina Vehre Gresslien and Katja Henriksen Schia.
In Building Beginnings, the room fills with sculptural textile figures that create a playful, safe and tactile landscape. The sculptures are made of loose parts inspired by pipes, hoses and lumps—modules that can be connected and built upon in new ways. The performers bring these textile figures to “life” in different ways.
This is a journey through an imaginative landscape, where a singing tree gradually transforms into a body with arms that are far too long, or a tiny creature builds itself bigger and bigger as it makes its way through the room. Towards the end of the performance, the children are invited to explore the room together with the dancers.
This event is intended for those at home on parental leave with a baby. There are two performances, one at 10:00 and one at 11:00.
