Widowspeak

New York band Widowspeak return to Oslo and John Dee on 6. desember! Molly Hamilton and Robert Earl Thomas are the songwriters and the heart of the project, and over sixteen years they have refined their sound. They release their long-awaited seventh album, Roses, on 5 June.

Roses shows Widowspeak at their very best, with roots deeply planted in timeless influences. There are traces of dream pop and power pop, a hint of the Stones and Petty, and echoes of R.E.M., Yo La Tengo, Cat Power and Neil Young.

As always, the magic of Widowspeak lies in the interplay between Molly and Robert, and in how they complement each other in the band's two central roles.
