Velcro Dog - Søndags-spesial: Utstilling & Konsert // Vaterland

Sunday special: Velcro Dog, exhibition & concert. Søndag 29. November 17:00 // Free ------------------ As some kind of grandiose promotional stunt to mark the release of Velcro Dog’s new album ‘Fjord Noir’, Tony Gonzalez, the musician behind the project, has chosen to illustrate every lyric on the album. The visual concepts were carefully developed by his fellow borrower, Vilde Steiro Amundsen. The illustrations were originally intended only for a lyric booklet sold at the merch table during the autumn tour, but wonderful Vaterland has graciously agreed to exhibit the doodles in a much larger format. And that calls for a Sunday special! At the local pizza joint this Sunday, enjoy an afternoon exhibition and sale of the illustrations mentioned above, plus other merch, and a concert with Velcro Dog. Admission is free, and there’ll be plenty of pizza and suitable refreshments, so it’s all set for a perfect Sunday hangout with plenty of good times, music and a delightfully cheeky atmosphere! The event starts around 17:00 and runs until around 20:00. Prints and merch will be available throughout, and the concert will take place roughly halfway through. Free admission. In short: maximum Sunday hangout! Welcome!

Velcro Dog is the solo project of Trondheim-based musician and songwriter Tony Gonzalez (Barren Womb, Twin Serpent, Oma Desala), born from a persistent need to confront both old and new demons. Skirting the darkest corners of americana, folk and country traditions, Velcro Dog has created a sound that is perhaps best described as fjord noir.
