Valkyrien Allstars

Valkyrien Allstars come to Rockefeller on 2 December! They are still riding high on last year’s critically acclaimed album *Venter på noen som venter på noen*, the long-awaited follow-up to the Spellemann-winning *slutte og byne* (2020).

*Venter på noen som venter på noen* continues Valkyrien’s distinctive fusion of traditional and pop music. It’s a formula that has sent them criss-crossing Norway so many times that it’s a wonder there are any trees left in the forest. Erik has got even better on guitar, Martin has learned to play the banjo, Magnus has glued his bass back together, and Tuva has filled her pen.

Valkyrien Allstars are known as one of Norway’s best live bands. Since their first release in 2007, they have led the development of arranged folk music. The band has taken new directions with every release and is considered a pioneer of new folk music, with a distinctive sound all its own.
