TOGETHER – Palestine: From Violence to Vision
TOGETHER – Palestine: From Violence to Vision — documentary screening and post-film discussion
Post-film discussion with Mads Gilbert, Nadim Khoury and Gia Deyab, moderated by Anne Gerd Grimsby Haarr.
While Norwegian and international politics continue to discuss the two-state solution, TOGETHER asks what comes next if it is no longer possible.
Through 13 years of interviews and meetings with Palestinian, Israeli and international voices, the film looks beyond the current war in Gaza: What might a future in which Israelis and Palestinians live freely together look like? What political futures are possible?
Over these years, director Truls Lie has conducted an impressive number of interviews with a wide range of key figures.
Together, these meetings give an impression of how the debate has largely gone in circles, but several conversations also open up possibilities beyond the two-state solution.
The film features, among others, Francesca Albanese, Mads Gilbert, Omar Barghouti, Espen Barth Eide, Alaa Obeid, Dalit Baum, Farah Ashtar, Hanan Ashrawi, Salam Fayyad, Jan Egeland, Ilan Pappé and Jeremy Corbyn.
