Saint-Saëns’ interpretation of the classic biblical story follows Samson, the hero of legendary strength, and Dalila, the seductive Philistine whose beauty overwhelms him.
The Met’s larger-than-life production returns, with a massive orchestra and chorus, as well as some of opera’s most captivating melodies. Mezzo-soprano Aigul Akhmetshina and tenor Clay Hilley perform the title roles.
