The Furious

A father sets out for revenge against the kidnappers who abducted his daughter.

Wang Wei’s daughter is kidnapped by a powerful criminal network. Wei first tries to get help from the police, but the network’s tentacles reach deep into the force, leaving him no choice but to take matters into his own hands. His only ally is the journalist Navin, whose wife has also disappeared. Navin suspects the same network is behind her disappearance. What follows is a breakneck action film that constantly outdoes itself with virtuosic, brutal and expertly choreographed action sequences. This is the most spectacular action film since The Raid films, and it became an instant hit with critics and audiences alike after its world premiere in Toronto last year.
