The Day of the Beast (1995)
The Day of the Beast (1995) — a dark Christmas comedy
Get into the (somewhat alternative) Christmas spirit with cult-film icon Álex de la Iglesia’s devilishly dark comedy The Day of the Beast!
Father Ángel (Álex Angulo) is a priest, but you wouldn’t think so from his recent behaviour. He has set out to commit as many evil acts as possible.
Why? He has discovered when and where the Antichrist will be born: Christmas Eve, Madrid.
To kill him before evil spreads across the world, Father Ángel must first lure him in. That’s where people like metal shop employee and self-proclaimed Satanist José María (Santiago Segura) and psychic TV host Professor Cavan (Armando de Razza) come in handy, whether they want to help or not.
What follows is a race against the devil himself, complete with goats, virgin blood and general madness!
