The Cruel Intentions
With a new critically acclaimed album out and concerts in the USA, Europe and Sweden behind them, The Cruel Intentions are set to end the year with a bang at John Dee on 11 December. Their album All Hail Hypocrisy has received top reviews from music publications around the world, including Classic Rock Magazine, Sweden Rock Magazine and Metal Hammer.
The Cruel Intentions deliver fast, wild and unfiltered rock, hungry for life and full of raw energy. Through their music, the Swedish-Norwegian band channels the legacy of Guns N’ Roses and Mötley Crüe, infused with pop-punk energy and melodic hard rock charm. The Cruel Intentions bring classic rock ’n’ roll straight into today’s youth culture.
Over the years, the Oslo-based band has built a solid reputation through extensive touring, explosive live performances and international media attention. Their music is fast, dark, humorous and hard-hitting. The result is an emotional whirlwind rooted in rock history that’s impossible not to fall in love with.
Over the years, The Cruel Intentions have toured Europe, the UK, Australia and the USA, and played major festivals such as Sweden Rock, Tons of Rock, Summer Breeze and Monsters of Rock Cruise, while also featuring in Rolling Stone, Billboard and Classic Rock Magazine.
In recent years, The Cruel Intentions have also gained global attention through HBO/DC’s Peacemaker, with the band’s songs featured in both seasons of the series. Tracks such as “Jawbreaker” and “Reckoning” have made a huge impact, earning praise from director and DC Comics Studios co-CEO James Gunn.
Trench Dogs
Drawing inspiration from glam rock, classic rock, punk and 80s rock, Trench Dogs have developed their own distinctive sound and have released two full-length albums since 2018. Their debut album Year of The Dog (2018) was warmly received by critics and made Sweden Rock Magazine’s list of the 50 best albums released that year. This helped the band land a support slot for Michael Monroe on the Swedish leg of his “One Man Gang” tour.
Express
Express are the newest addition to Norway’s hard rock and rock ’n’ roll scene. The band consists of four charismatic, young, rising and dedicated rockers. All in their mid-20s, Express deliver hard-hitting sleazy hard rock with crackling guitars, catchy riffs, heavy grooves and big, ringing choruses, flavoured with a keen melodic touch and extraordinary vocal harmonies. Express have been around for a few years and have worked their way up through extensive live shows at rock clubs around the country.
