Sweetheart // Kafé Hærverk — a subdued, melancholic Christmas concert
Sweetheart – this year’s saddest Christmas concert Sweetheart is heading out on a small, exclusive Christmas tour this year: warm and understated, like a soft, melancholic package beneath the Christmas tree. Perhaps it could be called this year’s saddest Christmas concert. Before the tour, they’ll release a new Christmas single: one original, wistful Christmas song, «Daddy, We’re Late for Church Again», alongside a minimalist version of «O Holy Night». It’s far from Jussi Björling and closer to Sweetheart’s subdued universe. Their concerts often end with this version, leaving the room holding its breath. For the past two years, Sweetheart has rounded off December with a Christmas concert that hasn’t quite been a Christmas concert, to rave reviews. This December, they’re taking it on the road as «this year’s saddest Christmas concert»—soft and melancholic, like December often feels. The setlist features songs from the duo’s two Spellemann-winning albums, with a few carefully selected Christmas classics woven in. Sweetheart is a subdued americana duo with two Spellemann awards, most recently for «I Will Love You When The Morning Comes» (2023), described as «one of the most beautiful pieces of music made on this side of the millennium». Live, the duo is known for rich harmonies, minimalist arrangements and concerts that often leave audiences in quiet wonder. Doors: 20:00 Concert starts: 21:00 Admission: 250.- + fee ID: 20
