Suser avgårde
A Norwegian film about friendship and adulthood
In «Suser avgårde», we follow four friends in their late 20s as they experience various existential crises over the course of a year, while navigating the transition to adulthood. Agnes’s crisis is particularly intense. She is hooked on her on-and-off ex, Daniel, even though he runs away whenever he senses things getting serious. Now Daniel is back from Berlin — has he finally changed? «Suser avgårde» is a funny and uncompromisingly honest portrait of a generation. The story is inspired by deLillos’ lyrical universe, and a number of young artists have recorded cover versions of classic deLillos songs especially for the film’s soundtrack. Written by Rakel Kraft Biørnstad and directed by Rikke Gregersen («Rekviem for Selina»), the film portrays the group of friends through performances by some of the country’s most promising young actors: Sarah Francesca Brænne, Steinar Klouman Hallert, Ada Eide and Fredrik Stenberg Ditlev-Simonsen. Produced by Ingvil Sæther Berger/Motlys.
