Stargate - en julefortelling
Stargate - en julefortelling (a Christmas story)
Ingvild Rishøi’s beloved novel Stargate – en julefortelling became an instant Christmas classic when it was published. Last year, the book was adapted into a film: a moving story about hope, responsibility and growing up, which explores important social issues and invites reflection and conversation in the run-up to Christmas.
19.nov: In collaboration with Vega Scene, Blå Kors kompasset is hosting a special screening of the film Stargate - en julefortelling.
The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with guests (to be announced later). Books will be on sale before and after the screening.
About the film:
STARGATE is a warm and heartfelt Christmas story about a father who does his best, but not enough; an older sister who tries to fill his shoes; and a younger sister who never stops dreaming.
Ten-year-old Ronja lives in an apartment block, but dreams of a log cabin in the forest, where wolves howl beneath a starry sky. It is December, and her dad is unemployed again, until one day he gets a job selling Christmas trees. At last, the apartment smells of pine and the fridge is full—for a little while. But sometimes temptation proves too much for Dad, and Ronja and her older sister Melissa have to fend for themselves. Together, they take over the Christmas tree-selling job and discover that even when life is really tough, a quick mind, playful optimism and a handful of good helpers can go a long way.
