Stargate - en julefortelling
Stargate - en julefortelling — a Norwegian Christmas film
Ten-year-old Ronja lives in an apartment block, but dreams of a log cabin in the forest, where wolves howl beneath a starry sky. It’s December, and her dad is unemployed again—until one day he gets a job selling Christmas trees. At last, the apartment smells of spruce and the fridge is full, if only for a little while. But sometimes temptation gets the better of Dad, and Ronja and her big sister Melissa have to fend for themselves. Together, they take over his Christmas tree-selling job and discover that even when life can be really shitty, it can also be really lovely at the same time!
Stargate - en julefortelling is a moving, heartwarming story for the run-up to Christmas about a father who does his best, but not enough; a big sister who tries to fill his shoes; and a little sister who never stops dreaming. It’s a film about friendship, people who lend a helping hand, and the magic of Christmas.
Ingvild H. Rishøi’s beloved novel Stargate - en julefortelling became an instant Christmas classic when it was published. Since then, it has been praised by critics and readers around the world. Now, at last, the book has been made into a film.
