Are you a dreamer who likes seams? So are we. Welcome to the sewing club at Deichman Grünerløkka, hosted by Framtiden i våre henders local chapter in Oslo.

Welcome to the sewing club in Salen at Deichman Grünerløkka! Anyone can bring a project they would like to work on. We’re a group of hobby sewists who can help if you get stuck.

You don’t need to bring your own machine! We have 6 good sewing machines and an overlocker. We also have an iron and ironing board, scissors, a selection of threads (but bring your own if it needs to match your fabric exactly), and some accessories such as zippers and buttons.

Please bring any fabric and specific accessories you need for your project. There is some leftover fabric available for small projects.

Our volunteers will do their best to help with any questions you may have.

We also make a pot of food when we have the capacity. If we do, we’ll post about it in the Facebook event.

Children are welcome, but parents must supervise them, as there are lots of needles, sharp scissors and other things that we cannot take responsibility for.

Please note that this is not a sewing course, so our volunteers don’t have the capacity to provide step-by-step guidance. They will help as much as they can along the way.
