Every day, we encounter a stream of information about diet and exercise from influencers, commercial operators and self-proclaimed experts. In this talk, Aage Radmann, professor and rector at Norges idrettshøgskole, draws on his own research into media, social media, youth culture and sport.
Through examples from research and public life, he explores how digital platforms shape our ideas about the body, identity, gender and the future.
Aage Radmann is a professor of sports sociology at Norges idrettshøgskole and has researched the relationship between sport, media and society for more than 25 years. His research includes social media, fan and youth culture, gender, identity and the role of the media in modern society.
He has published numerous academic works internationally and is a frequent speaker on topics such as sport, media and social development.
