Sigar & Akevitt med August & Anora – Årets siste sigarsmaking

Every month, Dr. Jekyll’s hosts tastings in collaboration with Augusto Cigars, pairing cigars with carefully selected alcoholic drinks to create new and exciting flavour experiences.

Augusto Cigars is the official importer of Havana cigars, as well as the sole importer of several of the best-known cigars from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Honduras and Mexico. You can also visit their specialist shop in Tollbugata in Oslo, where you can explore Norway’s best selection of hand-rolled cigars.

Tonight’s cigar: LFD Oro Maduro Tubos

Following the success of 2024, we are delighted to welcome Morten Thyregod Paulsen back for another evening of cigars and well-aged Norwegian aquavit.

Morten Thyregod Paulsen is master blender for Norwegian aquavit at Anora, responsible for classic aquavits such as Gammel Opland, Linjeakevitt and Gilde Jul.

He also holds a doctorate in sensory analysis, focusing on food and drink pairings.

For this tasting, Morten has selected four well-aged aquavits that he believes pair especially well with cigars.

Last time, the focus was exclusively on Opland. This time, we’re expanding the selection and tasting several different expressions:

– Opland Premium

– Opland Jul

– Gilde Jul Ekstra Modnet

– Gilde Non Plus Ultra

This will also be the final cigar tasting of the year before we all take a well-deserved Christmas break!
