Sense and Sensibility
A new film adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic
This new film adaptation of Jane Austen’s acclaimed classic brings fresh life to the moving story of the Dashwood sisters, in a timeless tale of love, sisterhood and social expectations in late-18th-century England. After their father’s death, the family loses both their home and their financial security. Mrs. Dashwood must take her three daughters to far more modest circumstances in the countryside. At a time when love, wealth and social status are closely intertwined, the young women must make clever choices to secure their family’s future.
Sense & Sensibility is directed by British filmmaker Georgia Oakley (Blue Jean), and the cast includes Daisy Edgar-Jones, George MacKay, Caitríona Balfe, Stacy Martin, Frank Dillane and, last but not least, our very own Herbert Nordrum!
