Jazz concert by Science Fair
Jazz quintet Science Fair will make their debut in autumn 2026 with the album Sugar in the Morning on Sonic Transmissions Records, and are now setting off on a release tour in Norway. Led by pianist and composer Anna Ueland, the Trondheim-based quintet explores the accidental and the disjointed, the melodic and the chaotic.
The rhythm section features Gustav Tornberg on drums and Kertu Aer on double bass. Guro Kvåle on trombone and Åsne Fossmark on tenor saxophone bring these sometimes relentlessly charismatic themes to life. This is music grounded in interplay, playfulness, freedom and energy, with references to 1960s American free jazz, modern and Scandinavian jazz, and classical impressionism.
