Saint Etienne
British pop trio on their farewell European tour
- Tickets available
The British pop trio Saint Etienne comes to Rockefeller on 10 March 2027 as part of their “Farewell European Tour”. After 35 years of distinctive British pop, electronica and club culture, the trio are embarking on their final European tour.
Saint Etienne were formed in Croydon in 1990 by Bob Stanley and Pete Wiggs, and quickly attracted attention with their version of Neil Young’s “Only Love Can Break Your Heart”, which became a club favourite. With vocalist Sarah Cracknell, who made her debut on the 1991 single “Nothing Can Stop Us”, the trio found their distinctive sound at the intersection of indie pop, electronica and dance music.
Their debut album Foxbase Alpha was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in 1991, and its follow-up, So Tough, reached the UK album chart top ten. Since then, Saint Etienne have released 13 studio albums and built a distinctive catalogue that has made them one of the most prominent names in British pop.
In September 2025, the band released International, their 13th and final studio album. The album was well received and reached the UK top ten. Although the trio are ending their recording career, they will continue to perform live—and on 10 March 2027, they take the stage at Rockefeller.
