Canadian prog-rock legends SAGA celebrate their 50th anniversary with The Generations Tour 2027 and come to Rockefeller on Friday, 30 April! With more than ten million albums sold and a loyal fan base spanning generations, SAGA remains one of the most respected names in melodic progressive rock.

Formed in Ontario, Canada, in 1977, SAGA has built a loyal following around the world over five decades with its distinctive blend of melodic progressive rock, intricate synth arrangements and striking guitar lines.

The band’s breakthrough came with the album Worlds Apart (1981), featuring the classics “On the Loose” and “Wind Him Up”. The following year, the band received the Juno Award for Most Promising Group. Since then, SAGA has released 22 studio albums, sold more than ten million albums worldwide and established a strong presence in Europe, particularly in Germany and Scandinavia.

The current line-up consists of Michael Sadler (vocals and keyboards), Ian Crichton (guitar), Jim Gilmour (keyboards and vocals), Mike Thorne (drums and vocals) and Mike Borkosky (bass, Moog and keyboards).

With a catalogue spanning five decades, countless tours and a dedicated fan base across generations, SAGA continues to thrill audiences with its timeless combination of technical brilliance, strong melodies and grand prog rock.
