Reisen til Julestjernen (restaurert 2023)

A castle with towers and spires rises above a small medieval village, surrounded by thick walls. The little royal family lives there: a father, a mother and their daughter, along with their court. On Christmas Eve, the little Princess Gulltopp disappears from the castle. She has gone into the forest alone to find the Christmas Star, which she wishes for with all her heart. Her uncle, the vain and power-hungry count, has led her to do so. When the king and queen learn that the princess has disappeared, they are overcome with grief. The queen rushes into the forest in despair to look for her. The king curses the Christmas Star, blaming it for his misfortune. But the king’s curse makes the star go dark, and the queen disappears too. Many years later, a troupe of entertainers arrives at the castle on Christmas Eve. Sonja is among them, and she offers to find the Christmas Star so that the king can have his queen and princess back.
