A coming-of-age film about absent fathers
A MID 90s-esque coming-of-age story about teenagers searching for the meaning of life and news about their absent fathers.
From bustling markets and harbours to quiet suburban life, Kojo and Tony lead very different lives in Ghana and Quebec. Yet both live with a void caused by the absence of a father figure. A shipwrecked cargo ship and a mother tricked by an online scam become the catalysts that intertwine the two teenagers’ lives. Oscar-nominated director Jérémy Comte comes from the skateboarding scene, and his feature debut has a striking slacker sensibility of the very best kind.
