Paradise

From bustling markets and harbours to quiet suburban life. The young men Kojo and Tony lead very different lives in Ghana and Quebec, respectively, but both feel an emptiness caused by the absence of a father figure. A wrecked cargo ship and a mother who has fallen victim to an internet scam become the catalyst that brings the lives of these two young men together. Oscar-nominated director Jérémy Comte has a background in skate culture, and his feature debut has a striking, laid-back feel of the very best kind.
