OLE KIRKENG & DAGSEDLARNA The next generation of Scandinavian country music is emerging. Among the artists making a name for themselves are Ole Kirkeng from Oslo and Dagsedlarna from Stockholm. In 2027, they’ll head out on a series of concerts together, and the first dates are being announced this week! Last year, Ole Kirkeng released the offbeat album Cowboy Lie Detector Machine, recorded with Amanda Bergman at Rockbonden in Dalarna. The album was highlighted by Mattias Hansson on P4 Country and received positive reviews in both Lira and Fokus Musik. Over the past year, Kirkeng has also performed at Viva Sounds in Gothenburg, the country festival in Falkenberg, Tyrolen outside Växjö, and two prestigious concerts in Stockholm – first on the Marshall Stage inside Centralstationen, and then at Stockholm Roots at Debaser. Dagsedlarna is the stage name of Alva Ragnarsson, who was born on Gotland and grew up in Stockholm. During 2026, she has had the chance to perform her own music on some of Sweden’s biggest stages – including Way Out West in Gothenburg, as well as Gröna Lund and Trädgården in Stockholm – as a guest artist and bassist in David Ritschard’s band. As a solo artist, she has so far released her debut single «Cowboy» and a cover of John Holm’s «Är det så här det ska va». Her debut album is just around the corner, as is the next chapter in an already promising career.
