Never After Dark

A first-rate Japanese ghost film!

The young medium Ariel travels to an old hotel in the countryside to help the owners get rid of a ghost before a possible reopening. The hunt for the ghost involves both time travel and a person from Ariel’s close family. An unsettling atmosphere gradually builds, reminiscent of The Conjuring films. The film also offers a far more satisfying ending than the related Hokum, which played in cinemas earlier this year.
