Never After Dark

A Japanese ghost film of the best kind!

The young medium Ariel travels to an old hotel in the countryside to help the owners get rid of a ghost before a possible reopening. The hunt for the ghost involves both time travel and someone in Ariel’s immediate family. An unsettling atmosphere gradually builds, reminiscent of The Conjuring films. The film also offers a far more satisfying ending than the related Hokum, which played in cinemas earlier this year.
