Kikis budservice
A beloved Studio Ghibli animated film
Meet the young witch Kiki in a dazzlingly beautiful and moving animated story about growing up, friendship and chance encounters.
When witches turn thirteen, they must leave home and become independent in a new place. On a full-moon evening, Kiki and her talking cat Jiji climb onto her broomstick and fly off on an adventure. They settle in a small coastal town, where they stay in the back room of a bakery. Since flying is Kiki’s special talent, starting her own delivery service seems only natural! The new business does not get off to a smooth start, and Kiki encounters plenty of strange drama along the way. The young witch also becomes very popular with the locals!
Kikis budservice is based on a popular Japanese children’s book by Eiko Kadono and is one of Studio Ghibli’s best-loved films. It was directed by Hayao Miyazaki, who is also known for masterpieces such as Min nabo Totoro, Ponyo på klippen ved havet and Chihiro og heksene.
