Kanonenfieber
Kanonenfieber – German black metal band
- Tickets available
The German black metal band Kanonenfieber comes to Rockefeller on Friday 26 November 2027 to deliver a world-class history lesson!
Kanonenfieber is a concept created in 2020 by multi-talent Noise and a friend who is an amateur historian, after Noise read his late grandfather’s diary, written at the front during the First World War. Every word you hear from Kanonenfieber is based on texts from reports, letters and other historical documents, making it all completely authentic.
Noise writes and records all the music himself, but is joined by friends at each concert so he can focus on the vocals and the bombastic stage performance.
The band members, including Noise, are deliberately kept anonymous. This serves as a reference to Tomb of the Unknown Soldier monuments around the world, which honour soldiers killed in war.
«We Proclaim the War Days! A cloud in the shape of a clenched fist gathers above, looming ominously over Franconia. The Kanonenfieber Regiment prepares to march across Europe – not as conquerors, but as a warning voice from the horrors of battles long past. From the 18th of November until the 11th of December, for 23 days, we shall bring the face of war to the stages. Through thunder, smoke, and the sound of steel, we recount the frontlines of the Great War and the fates of those who were lost in its inferno. This shall be no triumphal march. What remains is despair, ash, and smoke. The ‘Kriegstage’ begin.» – Kanonenfieber
