Julenissens verksted

When nine-year-old Mari wakes one night to discover a nisse in her bedroom, it sets off an unusual Christmas adventure. With a forgotten nisse mitten as their only clue, she, her grandmother and a very sceptical dad set out on an adventurous journey to find Santa Claus. The mitten’s owner, Stompen, Santa’s little helper, does everything he can to stop them. Santa’s workshop must not be discovered—it would be a disaster! Their journey takes them through forests, uplands and beautiful winter landscapes. But there are plenty of challenges too: they must get past the forest’s guardian, Kjerringa med staven, and battle their way through a terrible snowstorm. The journey is not only exciting; it also opens the family’s eyes to one another, and they finally realise what the true magic of Christmas is. Get ready for this year’s Christmas film for the whole family, brimming with festive spirit and familiar songs by Thorbjørn Egner, including Kaptein Sorte Bill, Dyrene i Afrika and Det snør det snør, performed by some of Norway’s leading artists, including Sissel Kyrkjebø.
