Julenissens verksted

When nine-year-old Mari wakes one night and discovers an elf in her bedroom, it’s the start of an extraordinary Christmas adventure. With a forgotten elf mitten as their only clue, she, her grandmother and a very sceptical dad set off on an adventurous journey to find Santa Claus, while the mitten’s owner, Santa’s little helper Stompen, does everything he can to stop them. Julenissens verksted must not be discovered—it would be a catastrophe! Their journey takes them through forests, open heathland and beautiful winter landscapes. But there are plenty of challenges too: they must get past the forest’s guardian, Kjerringa med staven, and battle their way through a terrible snowstorm. The journey is not only exciting—it also opens the family’s eyes to one another, and they eventually realise what the true magic of Christmas is. Get ready for this year’s Christmas film for the whole family, packed with festive cheer and well-known songs by Thorbjørn Egner, including Kaptein Sorte Bill, Dyrene i Afrika and Det snør det snør, performed by some of Norway’s leading artists, including Sissel Kyrkjebø.
