Jan P Syses dag
Jan P Syses dag — a commemoration of Jan P. Syse
By the bust of Jan P. Syse, outside Chateau Neuf.
On Wednesday, November 25 at 18:13, Studentersamfundet will pay tribute to Jan P. Syse. Long before Syse became prime minister, he was chairman of Studentersamfundet and played an important part in building Chateau Neuf. In the 1950s, C. J. Hambro gave him the honorary title “Luftslottsforvalter” (roughly, “steward of the castle in the air”) for his efforts to build the students’ house in Oslo.
There is a bust of Jan P. Syse outside Chateau Neuf, where the commemoration will take place at 18:13. After the ceremony, we’ll continue to Jan P. Syses sal on the second floor of Chateau Neuf and carry on the good conversation.
Everyone is welcome. We hope to see you there!
