Guri Egge: Sophisticated Lady?

Guri Egge has never been particularly interested in so-called milestone concerts, but for some time she has been considering creating a kind of statement performance/music collage from “Et CV-kammer” (A CV Chamber).

Doors open at 17:30, concert starts at 18:00. Limited unreserved seating; remaining places are standing room.

Over a career spanning more than 50 years in concert halls and on stage, Guri Egge has moved between classical music, opera, musical theatre, cabaret and contemporary music repertoire, particularly in the experimental music theatre genre.

“Even before her debut concert in 1974, she had become popular with Norwegian contemporary composers because she interprets their works so vividly on stage. She makes even the most complicated works accessible to her audience. They become hers, and she fills them with life……From day one, she has challenged the divide between audience and stage.” – From an interview with RK, 2008

“CV-kammeret” (the CV Chamber) offers a wealth of material and many possibilities, so the bouquet will be varied!

Come and experience Guri Egge in “Sophisticated Lady?”.
