Best friends Jo and Raissa grow up in the Philippines in the 1990s. When one of them suddenly has to move away, they fear their friendship will change forever. On one of their last evenings together, the two girls are transported through a mysterious portal to the magical island of Nakali. There they encounter a world inspired by Filipino mythology, populated by creatures, spirits and monsters unlike anything they have ever seen. As they search for a way home, they discover a dangerous secret about the island: the longer you stay there, the more you forget. Their quest becomes a fight to preserve their memories and the bond that has united them all their lives, before it is too late.
