Folkelarm Åpningskveld
Opening night for the Folkelarm festival
Kick off Folkelarm week with a festive evening of concerts, dancing and a new cross-Nordic collaboration!
Folkelarm Åpningskveld at Parkteatret is a prelude to the Folkelarm festival and a new initiative by four Scandinavian partners. Together, Supertraditional, KANT, Folkelarm and Parkteatret have created a shared opening night, aiming to showcase a broader artistic vision and representation of the cross-Nordic contemporary folk music scene.
A stellar lineup of Scandinavian artists takes the stage for three unique concerts, specially curated by the partners. You’ll encounter both established names and exciting new voices.
Lineup: Synnøve Brøndbo Plassen (NO) Annas Blå feat. Sofia HK (SE) Julia Bengtson (SE/DE) DJs
The opening night features an exclusive release concert with Synnøve Brøndbo Plassen, who is releasing her third solo album on Grappa Musikkforlag this autumn. Joining her on stage are none other than multi-instrumentalist Anders Røine and percussionist Helge Norbakken—a stellar team promising a powerful and atmospheric concert experience.

In the newly formed Annas Blå, Swedish folk musician and violinist Anna-Tove Möller joins forces with three leading names from the experimental jazz and improvisation scene: Egil Kalman, Konrad Agnas and Johan Graden. This evening, they are joined by Sofia HK, whose album is out now. In Sweden, she has been hailed as one of the most promising talents, and her songs have taken her on a European tour with The Tallest Man On Earth.
Julia Bengtson is a musician and artist—curious and uncertain, restless and rooted. Her life is filled with contrasts and contradictions, and she keeps a watchful eye on the world around her: close, yet at a distance. Her music draws on both the Swedish pop phenomenon and Scandinavian folk music. Julia Bengtson has performed at SPOT Festival and West Pride in Göteborg, and as the support act for the Norwegian supergroup Ævestaden, here at Parkteatret.
When the concerts end, we turn up the pace: DJs, a jam session and dancing await as we invite you to a night full of experiences.
This is more than a concert night—it’s a celebration of Nordic collaboration, diversity and music that both honours its roots and looks to the future.
Bring your friends, come early—and stay late!
