Folk og røvere i Oslomarka
Folk og røvere i Oslomarka — stories of people who lived in Oslo’s forests
Talk by Even Saugstad
“Banner-Ola” and “Greven av Oppkuven” were among the legendary hermits who lived in Nordmarka. These men couldn’t stand the bustle of civilisation and retreated into the forest. They are among the people featured in Even Saugstad’s talk. He is the author of the book Folk og røvere i Oslomarka.
The talk also introduces others who made their homes in simple shelters in Oslomarka, including Harald Grande, who lived in Lillomarka until the 1980s, and Korpås-Olsen in Østmarka. We’ll also meet the lumberjack Per Frisk, the homesteader Abraham Korsgranbråtan and the Næs brothers. Even will also present people active in and for Oslomarka today, such as Sverre M. Fjelstad and Tom “Milsluker’n” Stensaker.
Even Saugstad has published several books about Østmarka and Oslomarka, and hosted visitors at Sandbakken markastue, a forest lodge, for 11 years. There will be an opportunity to buy books after the talk.
Welcome!
