LIVE WIRE CONCERTS IN COLLABORATION WITH VATERLAND PRESENTS VALLEY OF THE SUN SUPPORT ASTRALPLANE VATERLAND OSLO FRIDAY 13 NOVEMBER 20:00 // 275.- + fee // 20+ ------------------------------ ------------------------------ The term power trio can sometimes feel a little diluted. There isn’t always enough power to justify using it. With Valley of The Sun, there’s no doubt. The desert rockers from Cincinnati, Ohio are every bit as otherworldly and heavy as they are tight, catchy and compelling. The band’s sound is often compared to genre greats such as Fu Manchu, Kyuss, Truckfighters and Soundgarden—big shoes the band fills with a firm strike and a shot straight into the top corner, where melodic heavy rock meets the sun-scorched desert. You already know the deal: riffs, razor-sharp melodies and groove for days, delivered by a band seemingly lab-grown for exactly the combination that gets your head nodding and makes live shows a joy. ----------------- The brothers in Astralplane embody the three fundamental elements of heavy rock: Fuzz, Psych and Doom! Together, they blend heavy ’70s riffs with psychedelic stoner rock from the ’90s and 2000s, taking the audience on a psychedelic journey through unknown destinations and sonic landscapes.
