Divine Comedy
Divine Comedy — Film screening in Oslo
A censored filmmaker travels across Iran to secretly screen his film.
Bahram is a filmmaker who has made films in Turkish and Azerbaijani throughout his career. None of them have been screened in Iran. When his latest film is denied a screening permit by the Ministry of Culture, he decides to take matters into his own hands. Together with producer Sadaf, he sets out on a journey across Iran to organize secret screenings of his film.
Divine Comedy is a sharp and funny film about freedom of expression and a man who challenges the clergy under Iran’s strict censorship.
